PHILO

PHILO

by Peter Sheridan

Love comes when you least expect it.

Philo is dyed in the wool inner city. Born and reared in Sheriff Street. Big mouth, big personality, big family, her life is one crisis after another. Sister Rosaleen, on the other hand, is shy and vulnerable, from a small town in rural Cork, who wants to devote herself to working for the poor. They meet in the convent of the Little Flower. Philo works in the kitchen and Sister Rosaleen is technically her boss. Can Sister Rosaleen put up with the bad language that daily flows from Philo’s mouth? Can Philo contain herself and abide by the rules of the convent? Is this all going to end up in one mighty explosion that finishes the relationship for good? Or do miracles still happen?

Starring Neili Conroy as Philo and Nichola MacEvilly as Sister Rosaleen.
