To celebrate Arthur’s Day 2012 ,the Viking Theatre @ The Sheds is presenting a double measure of the dark stuff with two special promenade performances of Poe Show – the acclaimed theatrical adaptation of works by Edgar Allan Poe, the tormented genius of Gothic literature. Poe Show features two of Poe’s best-known stories: The Tell-Tale Heart – a terrifying exploration of murder and guilt, and The Cask of Amontillado – a pitch-black comedy of revenge.
It also includes his chilling unfinished final tale, The Lighthouse along with musical settings of some of his greatest poems. Poe Show takes us on a deliciously dark descent into the maelstrom of one of history’s most frenzied imaginations.
This special promenade experience at The Sheds will take audience members on a thrilling journey around the back rooms, beer garden and secret orchard of the famous Clontarf hostelry.
