The Mulligan Music Makers are a German band, playing Irish music for over 25 years . In 2003 the band decided to start bringing their brand of Irish music back to Ireland. They have performed in pubs all over Ireland, as well as in Dublin, Temple Bar and The Brazen Head.
For the last three years they found that playing in local pubs has enriched their experience, bringing their Irish music to the Irish people. The Sheds in Clontarf, has become a regular gig for the band and has always been a great success. Now, The Mulligan Music Makers with The Viking Theatre have decided to have a German Irish Night – to bring these cultures together.
What are the real stories behind the songs and are there German versions?
What German songs can be compared to the Irish traditional ones?
What does it mean to perform Irish music as a German in front of a native audience?
We invite you to this musical experiment on Sunday July 23rd at 8.00pm. Admission is free.
Bring your friends and enjoy this cultural get together…..
