Rose is a highly spirited English teacher who is passionate about her Leaving Cert students, and has just been fired. Over the course of an evening alone she strips away layer after layer of her life and reflects on past decisions while she sips her single malt whiskey and listens to the smoky tunes of Ella Fitzgerald.

Eithne sits in a hospital corridor awaiting news of her ill husband.
