“Intimate theatre at its best“.. Alf McCarthy-RTE
This play is based on the life of Jacqueline du Pré, the cellist who rose to huge acclaim in the 1960’s until she was struck by MS in 1971. The play asks the big question, the one that has occupied the minds of so many moving writers; how do you go on living when all hope has gone? It is a noble and deeply moving piece of theatre, filled with wit, insight and a refusal to wallow in misfortune and let the audience have a good cry. It touches on something profound about what Wordsworth described as the still sad music of humanity.
